Solana Breakpoint 2026 Expands Its London Speaker Lineup
The Solana Foundation has announced another group of speakers for Solana Breakpoint 2026, bringing senior figures from government, financial services, payments, digital assets, and technology to the event in London. The conference is scheduled for November 15–17 at Olympia London.
New additions include Martin Gilbert, chair of Revolut; Boris Johnson, former prime minister of the United Kingdom; and Sajid Javid, former chancellor of the Exchequer and former secretary of state for health and social care. Other announced participants represent organizations including Zelle, DTCC, Mastercard, Barclays, Bitwise, Backpack, and Y Combinator.
The event will center on the theme “Token Supercycle,” examining how stablecoins, tokenized assets, payment systems, and AI-related economic activity are moving onto blockchain networks. The official Breakpoint 2026 website provides event details and information about the conference program.
Government and Financial Leaders Join the Event
The policy and financial-services lineup includes Patrick Witt, former executive director of the White House President’s Council of Advisors for Digital Assets; Lord Vaizey of Didcot, a member of the House of Lords and former minister for culture and the digital economy; Sir Nicholas Lyons, chair of Standard Life and former Lord Mayor of the City of London; and Hester Serafini, president of ICE Europe.
Their participation brings perspectives from public policy, financial institutions, and capital markets into a conference focused on blockchain-based financial infrastructure. The lineup also includes leaders from organizations working across digital-asset investment, payments, and financial technology.
The additions come as the conference positions London as a meeting point for policymakers, investors, established financial firms, and companies developing onchain products. Their presence does not itself indicate that any participating institution has adopted a particular Solana-based product or committed to a specific blockchain strategy.
Payments and Institutional Capital Take Center Stage
The payments and capital-markets group includes Alexandra Lang, vice president of digital assets partnerships and strategy at Zelle; Matt Hougan, chief investment officer at Bitwise; Kyle Samani, chairman of Forward Industries; and Christian Rau, senior vice president of digital assets and blockchain at Mastercard.
Other participants include Scott Lucas, head of digital assets at Barclays; Rowland Berry, vice president of stablecoin at Payoneer; Nemil Dalal, visiting partner at Y Combinator; Ahmed Zifzaf, head of digital asset partnerships at Ramp; PJ Bain, CEO of PrimeRevenue; Kathrin Hamilton, partner for digital assets at Baillie Gifford; and Kathy Kriskey, head of alternative product strategy at Invesco.
The group reflects several areas of interest in digital finance: moving money through blockchain-based payment systems, developing tokenized financial products, and exploring how institutions may use digital assets. The conference's official program and speaker information can help attendees track the latest announced participants and sessions.
Tokenization and Onchain Asset Markets
Another part of the lineup focuses on bringing different types of assets onto blockchain networks. Speakers include Armani Ferrante, founder and CEO of Backpack; Saeed Badreg, co-founder and CEO of Sunrise; Andrea Miele, founder and CEO of Beezie; Val Wotton, global head of equities solutions at DTCC; Patrick Corker, managing director of market transformation and innovation at BNY; Tom Farley, chairman and CEO of Bullish; and Ian Rogers, chief human agency officer at Ledger.
Tokenization involves representing assets or related rights digitally on a blockchain. Depending on the legal and technical structure, tokenized products can support digital transfers, trading, or other financial processes. However, the rights attached to a token depend on the specific product's legal terms and should not be assumed to be identical to direct ownership of an underlying asset.
The presence of executives from both traditional financial institutions and blockchain-focused companies highlights the range of organizations participating in discussions about onchain markets. It does not, on its own, establish that every organization represented is issuing assets on Solana.
Trading, Culture and Solana Infrastructure
The trading and culture lineup includes Kash Dhanda, chief operating officer of Jupiter; Eugene Chen, CEO of Ellipsis Labs and Phoenix; Se Yong Park, co-founder of fomo; NBA champion and investor Tristan Thompson; World Series of Poker champion Lucas Jumalon; global broadcast talent Jeff Platt; and Proph3t, co-founder of MetaDAO.
Infrastructure speakers include Brennan Watt, CEO of Anza; Mert Mumtaz, CEO of Helius; Greg Osuri, founder of Akash; Jonathan Victor, president of BitRobot; and Vibhu Norby, chief product officer at the Solana Foundation. Their roles span network development, developer infrastructure, decentralized computing, and ecosystem products.
These discussions complement the conference's financial focus by covering the systems and applications that support blockchain activity. The Solana developer documentation provides technical background on building applications on the network.
Previously Announced Speakers and Conference Program
The new additions join previously announced speakers including Anatoly Yakovenko of Solana, Lily Liu of the Solana Foundation, Balaji Srinivasan of Network State, Raoul Pal of Real Vision, Anthony Soohoo of MoneyGram, Annabel Spring of Allfunds, Zach Abrams of Bridge, Tad Smith of Candy Digital, and Peter Moore of Wisla Krakow.
The program is organized around two themes. Day one, “The Supercycle, Today,” will examine institutional assets already moving onchain, including stablecoins, payments, tokenized real-world assets, and macroeconomic forces affecting financial infrastructure. Day two, “The Supercycle, Tomorrow,” will look at AI agents, consumer applications, new forms of ownership, and markets enabled by programmable capital.
Additional speakers and the full agenda are expected to be announced before the conference. The Solana Foundation's official website provides broader information about the organization and its ecosystem.
London’s Role in the Future of Capital Markets
Lily Liu, president of the Solana Foundation, said the next generation of capital markets would operate around the clock, settle in seconds, and be accessible to anyone with an internet connection. She added that Breakpoint would bring UK policymakers and City leaders together with founders developing tokenized equities, stablecoins, and payment networks on Solana.
Liu also said London had an opportunity to become a place where this financial infrastructure is built. The conference's speaker lineup and agenda reflect an effort to connect the established financial sector with companies working on blockchain-based markets.
Solana Breakpoint 2026 will take place at Olympia London from November 15–17. Its discussions will cover both existing applications of onchain finance and potential developments involving AI, digital ownership, and programmable capital.
