Solana RWA Holders Surpass 400K as Tokenized Asset Adoption Accelerates

Solana has surpassed 400,000 real-world asset holders for the first time, marking a sharp increase from fewer than 10,000 holders in January 2025 as tokenized assets expand on the network.

Solana RWA Holders Surpass 400K as Tokenized Asset Adoption Accelerates

Solana’s RWA Holder Base Hits a New Milestone

Solana has crossed a major adoption milestone in the real-world asset (RWA) sector, with the number of wallets holding tokenized real-world assets now above 400,000.

Data from RWA.xyz’s Solana network dashboard shows 422,797 RWA holders as of September 7, 2026. That puts Solana well beyond the 400,000-holder threshold and represents a dramatic increase from the fewer than 10,000 holders recorded in January 2025.

The growth highlights how quickly tokenized versions of traditional financial assets have expanded across the Solana blockchain. The milestone is particularly notable because holder count measures the number of addresses with exposure to tracked RWA products, rather than simply measuring the dollar value of assets issued on the network.

RWA Adoption Has Expanded Rapidly on Solana

Real-world assets are traditional financial or physical assets represented through blockchain-based tokens. The category can include products linked to U.S. Treasuries, investment funds, equities, private credit, commodities and other financial instruments.

Solana’s own real-world assets overview shows how broad the ecosystem has become, with tokenized Treasuries, ETFs, metals and stocks operating on the network. Solana currently lists $6.9 billion in indexed tokenized value and more than 2,600 indexed assets, although those figures use a broader indexing methodology than RWA.xyz’s holder and distributed-value metrics.

The distinction is important. Different RWA dashboards can report different totals depending on which asset classes, issuers and products they track. The 400,000-plus figure specifically refers to RWA holder addresses tracked by RWA.xyz.

From Fewer Than 10,000 Holders to More Than 400,000

The scale of the increase becomes clearer when compared with the beginning of 2025.

Solana had fewer than 10,000 RWA holders in January 2025 according to the milestone data. By February 2026, reports citing RWA.xyz data were already showing more than 302,000 wallets holding RWAs on Solana.

By June 2026, the number had continued climbing. Solana Compass reported 273,000 RWA holders during an earlier June reporting window, alongside $2.7 billion in distributed RWA value and $4.4 billion in 30-day transfer volume. The subsequent increase to more than 400,000 addresses shows that the holder base continued expanding significantly through the second half of the year.

The growth also indicates that Solana’s RWA market is not being driven solely by a small group of large institutional wallets. The number of tracked holder addresses has expanded substantially, pointing to broader distribution of tokenized financial products across the network.

Tokenized Financial Products Are Driving the Expansion

Solana’s RWA ecosystem now includes products associated with major financial institutions and asset managers.

The Solana Foundation said in a July 2026 overview that the network hosted $3.7 billion in non-stablecoin RWA value across 313,000 holders as of late July. It identified categories including tokenized Treasuries, public equities, private credit, reinsurance, sovereign debt, commodities and liquidity funds.

The same overview highlighted deployments and initiatives involving companies including BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Apollo, Hamilton Lane, VanEck, WisdomTree, State Street, Securitize and Ondo. BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, for example, has been available on Solana through Securitize, while other issuers have brought additional tokenized financial products to the network.

This variety means Solana’s RWA sector is becoming more than a single-product market. Different tokenized assets can serve different purposes, ranging from exposure to traditional securities to blockchain-based settlement and financial infrastructure.

RWA Value and Holder Count Tell Different Stories

The 400,000-holder milestone should not be confused with the total dollar value of Solana’s RWA market.

RWA.xyz currently reports $4.23 billion in distributed asset value on Solana, alongside $125.86 million in represented asset value and $3.72 billion in 30-day RWA transfer volume. The platform also tracks 2,691 RWA products on the network.

Meanwhile, DeFiLlama’s Solana RWA dashboard reports different RWA figures because it uses its own asset classification and methodology. Its current dashboard shows roughly $2.45 billion in active RWA market capitalization and $2.71 billion in on-chain market capitalization.

These differences do not necessarily represent conflicting data. RWA platforms can classify assets differently, exclude or include certain categories, and measure distributed, represented, active or on-chain values separately. Holder counts and asset values should therefore be treated as distinct indicators of ecosystem growth.

Why the 400K Milestone Matters

For Solana, the increase in RWA holders provides another measure of blockchain adoption beyond transaction counts and speculative crypto activity.

Tokenized real-world assets connect blockchain infrastructure with traditional financial markets. Instead of representing value solely through native crypto assets, RWA platforms allow financial instruments and other real-world exposures to be issued, transferred and managed using blockchain-based infrastructure.

Solana’s growing holder base suggests that this segment is reaching a much wider address population than it did in early 2025. At the same time, the network’s expanding list of tokenized products gives users and institutions more ways to interact with assets connected to traditional markets.

The milestone also comes as Solana continues to build infrastructure around compliant tokenized assets. The network’s official RWA materials highlight permissioned environments, KYC-based transfer controls and infrastructure designed for institutional use alongside public blockchain settlement.

Solana’s RWA Market Continues to Scale

Crossing 400,000 RWA holders represents a substantial change from Solana’s position at the beginning of 2025, when fewer than 10,000 holders were recorded.

Current RWA.xyz data places the network above 422,000 holders, while the broader ecosystem includes thousands of tokenized products and billions of dollars in tracked RWA value.

The next stage for Solana’s RWA sector will depend not only on adding more wallets, but also on the continued growth of tokenized products, liquidity, transfers and institutional participation. For now, the holder milestone shows that tokenized real-world assets have become a significantly larger part of Solana’s blockchain ecosystem than they were less than two years ago.
