Stonk introduces a new Community Coin model
Solana-based launchpad Stonk has introduced a new Community Coin mechanism designed to connect established token communities with newly launched meme coins. Under the model, holders of selected Community Coins can become eligible to receive a share of holder rewards generated by new memes launched through the platform.
The mechanism divides those rewards between two groups. Thirty-three percent of the holder rewards from each meme launched in Community Mode is distributed among eligible Community Coin holders, while the remaining 67% goes to holders of the newly launched meme.
The model gives existing token communities a direct role in Stonk’s new meme launches. Instead of a new token launch being limited to its own holders, Community Mode creates a structure in which holders of designated community tokens can also participate in the reward distribution.
How Stonk’s 33% reward split works
The Community Coin system is built around a simple division of rewards. When a new meme is launched in Community Mode and paired with a supported Community Coin, eligible holders of that Community Coin receive part of the holder rewards generated by the new token.
Of the total holder rewards allocated under the mechanism, 33% is reserved for eligible Community Coin holders. The other 67% remains with holders of the newly launched meme, giving both communities a defined share of the reward pool.
This structure separates the communities involved in a launch while allowing them to benefit from the same token ecosystem. The Community Coin holders do not receive the entire reward allocation from a new meme; instead, they receive the portion specifically assigned to the Community Coin mechanism.
Five tokens join the initial Community Coin group
Stonk’s first group of Community Coins includes five Solana-based tokens: USELESS, PENGU, ZCAT, ANSEM and NEET.
These tokens form the initial group whose eligible holders can participate in rewards from qualifying new meme launches. The selection gives several established Solana meme communities exposure to Stonk’s new launch mechanism.
The initiative comes as Solana continues to support a broad range of token launches and decentralized trading activity. Developers and communities can use the Solana ecosystem to access infrastructure and applications built around the network.
Community attention becomes part of the launch model
Traditional meme coin launches generally center rewards and incentives around holders of the newly issued token. Stonk’s Community Coin mechanism adds another layer by connecting a new launch with an existing community.
Under this approach, holding a designated Community Coin can make users eligible for rewards generated by qualifying future meme launches. That creates a link between an established community and the activity surrounding new tokens launched through Stonk.
The model also gives new meme projects a way to build a relationship with communities that already have an established holder base. However, the 33% allocation is specifically tied to the Community Mode reward structure and does not mean Community Coin holders receive ownership of, or guaranteed returns from, the newly launched meme.
Stonk expands its Solana launchpad model
Stonk operates as a Solana token launch platform focused on launching and trading new assets. Its platform has previously supported tokens paired with different assets, including meme coins and other types of tokens.
The new Community Coin mechanism expands that model by making the relationship between existing communities and new launches part of the reward structure. Users interested in the platform can follow Stonk’s official updates on X for announcements about Community Coins, launches and platform features.
Stonk’s launch infrastructure also operates within Solana’s broader decentralized trading ecosystem. Platforms such as Raydium provide liquidity and trading infrastructure across Solana, while wallets and trading applications allow users to interact with newly issued tokens.
What the new model means for Solana meme communities
The Community Coin mechanism gives established token communities another potential role in the launch process. Instead of simply following new meme launches, eligible holders of supported Community Coins can participate in a defined share of holder rewards when qualifying tokens are launched.
For new meme projects, the model connects launches with communities that already hold designated tokens. For Community Coin holders, the mechanism creates eligibility for a portion of rewards from qualifying launches without requiring them to be holders of every new meme involved.
Stonk has initially limited the model to five Community Coins: USELESS, PENGU, ZCAT, ANSEM and NEET. The 33% allocation applies to eligible Community Coin holders, while 67% remains allocated to holders of the newly launched meme under the Community Mode structure.
The launch represents another experiment in how Solana token platforms can connect existing communities with new token issuance. Rather than treating each meme launch as an isolated event, Stonk’s Community Coin model creates a shared reward structure between an established community and the holders of a newly launched asset.
