Solana Labs Launches Leap, a Mobile App for Tokenized Asset Trading

Solana Labs has introduced Leap, a mobile trading application that brings tokenized stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), metals, currencies, and cryptocurrencies into one platform. Developed by the team behind Dialect, the app combines market research, onchain trading, and portfolio tracking in an effort to give retail traders more information about their positions and decisions.

Leap announced its beta launch on November 5, 2026, and is available through Apple's public TestFlight program for iPhone users. An Android version is planned for a later release. The product expands Solana Labs' efforts to build applications around the network's role in digital financial markets.

Leap Combines Market Research With Onchain Trading

Rather than concentrating on rapid memecoin speculation, Leap is designed for traders who want market context alongside execution tools. Its research team selects important market stories and places them directly on price charts, helping users connect market developments with asset movements.

The app covers tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities, currencies, cryptocurrencies, and millions of Solana tokens. Trading is available around the clock, subject to regional and asset restrictions. Users can enter a dollar amount and execute spot trades through one-tap onchain swaps.

Leap also includes a profit-and-loss tracking system designed to show users how their positions are performing after accounting for transaction activity and costs. It tracks deposits, withdrawals, trades, and fees, displaying actual returns and breakeven prices for individual positions. This approach is intended to give traders a clearer picture of their overall performance rather than showing price changes alone.

Solana Leadership Sees Leap as an Ecosystem Expansion

Solana Labs co-founder and CEO Anatoly Yakovenko described the app as part of the network's broader push to attract users through practical financial products.

"The network is ready for every kind of market. What matters now are the products that help people use it well and keep them coming back. Every app that brings new people onchain makes the whole ecosystem stronger, and Leap is built to do that for the long run," Yakovenko said.

Leap General Manager Chris Osborn also highlighted the importance of combining blockchain performance with a useful trading experience. He said Solana's Alpenglow upgrade allows the network to confirm trades in approximately 150 milliseconds.

"With Leap, we're bringing that work to the people who trade. The Solana blockchain now confirms a trade in about 150 milliseconds thanks to Alpenglow, so the network is now faster than ever. Our job is to get the rest right, from the infrastructure to the app itself, so traders can make better decisions and see how they're really doing. That's what high performance means to us," Osborn said.

The comments reflect Leap's focus on pairing transaction speed with market information and portfolio visibility. The app's broader objective is to make onchain trading accessible without requiring users to rely exclusively on separate research and trading applications.

Jupiter, Helius, and Birdeye Power Leap's Infrastructure

Leap has integrated several established Solana ecosystem services to support its trading experience. Jupiter provides trade routing, Helius supports the underlying infrastructure, and Birdeye supplies market data. The company expects to add more ecosystem partners as the application develops.

These integrations give Leap access to services for executing swaps, supporting blockchain interactions, and displaying market information. Developers and users can explore the wider ecosystem through Jupiter, Helius, and Birdeye.

Leap does not charge its own platform fees at launch. However, users may still pay network and routing costs when making transactions. The application displays these costs before users confirm a trade, allowing them to review the expected expenses.

The company plans to use fees introduced in the future to buy and burn SOL, Solana's native token, while also supporting its referral rewards program. No current platform fee is being charged under the initial launch arrangement.

Dialect's Development Team Brings Experience With Solana Actions and Blinks

Leap was developed by the team behind Dialect, a Solana-focused company known for building Solana Actions and Blinks. These tools were designed to make blockchain transactions accessible through familiar online environments, including websites, social platforms, buttons, and QR codes.

Solana Actions allow applications to generate blockchain transactions that users can review, sign, and submit. Blinks turn supported Actions into shareable links, allowing users to interact with onchain functionality without necessarily opening a separate decentralized application. Solana explains the technology in its official Actions and Blinks documentation.

Dialect launched these technologies in June 2024 and also contributed to X's cashtags feature. Solana Labs acquired Dialect earlier in 2026, with the team subsequently developing Leap as a new business under the company's umbrella.

The team's previous work provides a foundation for Leap's effort to bring blockchain interactions into a more familiar mobile trading environment.

Leap Founders Club Offers Future Referral Rewards

Leap is also introducing an early-access referral program through its Founders Club. Users who join the waitlist at Leap's official website can receive referral codes and early access to new features.

Once the platform introduces its own trading fees, eligible Founders Club members are expected to receive 30% of fees generated by their direct referrals and 5% from the referrals invited by those users. These rewards remain subject to the program's eligibility requirements and terms.

The planned referral structure is part of Leap's broader approach to attracting users as the application develops. Future fees are also intended to support the planned SOL buy-and-burn mechanism.

iOS Beta Opens as Android Release Remains Pending

Leap is currently available on iPhone through Apple's public TestFlight beta program. Android users will have to wait for a future release, while interested users can join the waitlist through the project's website.

The application is not available in the United Kingdom and other restricted regions. Availability may also vary depending on the asset and local restrictions, meaning access to every listed market is not guaranteed for all users.

Leap's launch adds another consumer-facing trading product to the Solana ecosystem. Its combination of tokenized traditional assets, cryptocurrency markets, market research, and detailed P&L tracking sets out a broader use case than token trading alone. The next stages of development will include Android availability, the introduction of platform fees, and the expansion of its ecosystem partnerships.
